eng.g3.f.wr.dialogue_in_narrative
Write natural dialogue inside a narrative with full mechanics and attribution variety
Compose dialogue passages that advance the story, reveal character, and use mechanics correctly: quotation marks hugging the spoken words, commas separating tag from quote, capital first word, end punctuation inside the closing mark, new paragraph for each new speaker. Use varied dialogue tags beyond 'said' (whispered, muttered, exclaimed, replied) and include attribution-with-action ('She glanced at the door, then said, ...').

Common misconceptions
- Puts the comma OUTSIDE the closing quotation mark (US convention puts it inside).
- Writes a whole conversation in one paragraph (skips the new-paragraph-per-speaker rule).
