Use commas in addresses (L.3.2.b)

Place commas correctly in a full address line: comma between city and state ('Boise, Idaho'), comma between street and city when written on one line ('123 Pine Street, Boise, Idaho 83702'), and comma after the state when an address sits inside a sentence ('We drove to Boise, Idaho, last summer.').

Common misconceptions
  • Omits the comma after the state when the address sits in a sentence ('We drove to Boise, Idaho last summer.').
