You used BECAUSE in kindergarten orally. Now we use it in WRITING. Write an opinion, then BECAUSE, then the reason. Watch: 'My favorite food is pizza because it has cheese and tomato.' One sentence. Capital first. Period at the end. NO capital after 'because' (lowercase because it's in the middle of the sentence).

The Hochman 'because' routine generates the most measurable gains in writing complexity research. Use 3x/week minimum. By week 18, every Grade 1 child should generate a because-sentence orally and in writing on demand.
