math.gK.f.at.patterns_extend
Recognize, extend, and create repeating patterns (AB, AAB, ABB)
Identify the unit of repetition in a repeating pattern (red-blue-red-blue → unit is 'red-blue'). Extend a given pattern by adding 2-4 more terms. Create an original repeating pattern. Translate a pattern across modalities (red-blue beads = clap-stomp body pattern = circle-square shapes).

Common misconceptions
- Extends pattern by adding only ONE element (red-blue-red-blue, then adds one red — does not see the unit).
- Treats AAB as ABA (loses repeated-element awareness).
- Cannot translate a color pattern into a body-movement pattern (does not generalize the unit-of-repetition concept across modality).
- Adds random elements not matching the unit.
