History ยท CHR G1 hist.g1.f.chr.timeline_living_memory

Build a living-memory timeline across three generations

Construct a 4-tier timeline showing TODAY (self), PARENTS' time (~20-40 years ago), GRANDPARENTS' time (~50-80 years ago), and GREAT-GRANDPARENTS' time (~80-100+ years ago). Place 3-5 events on the timeline in correct sequence.

Common misconceptions
  • Believing 'long ago' is all one time (collapsing 100 years and 1000 years into the same bucket)
  • Treating 'older' as a position on the timeline (parents are older than child, but BOTH live TODAY)
  • Placing great-grandparent generation closer to today than grandparent generation (timeline direction confusion)
