Deliver a 5-7 minute capstone public speech with multimedia visual aid (CCSS SL.8.4; SL.8.5; SL.8.6)
Present the capstone composition orally in 5-7 minutes (300-420 seconds) with a multimedia visual aid that supports — not decorates — the argument. Apply Palmer's PVLEGS framework (Poise, Voice, Life, Eye contact, Gestures, Speed). Field a 2-3 minute moderated Q&A with mature Q&A handling (name what you know; mark what you don't; invite further dialogue). Audience: family, community, peers. The capstone speech is the culminating public moment of K-8.

Common misconceptions
- Reads the essay aloud (capstone speech is not a recitation — it's an oral CRAFTING of the argument).
- Multimedia decorates rather than supports.
- Q&A handling: pretends to know what one does not know (erodes credibility).
- Treats the 5-7 minute timing as fixed — over-runs without rehearsal.
